REVIEW : Bioderma Sensitive Skin Make-Up Remover

Price - S$39.90
Where to buy - Singapore's Watson and Guardian
Size - 500 ml bottle

If you have not heard of Bioderma, it is time you look up for it. It is a brand made in France and have seen been leaving its mark in the international beauty industry. Today would be the day we introduce to you its make-up remover. The product is colourless and fragrance free. The micelles contained in its formula is known to micro-emulsify impurities while maintaining cutaneous balance effectively.

As you can see from above pictures, unlike most make-up removers, this one is oil-free. This make-up remover is also rinse-free. This is from their sensitive skin line and we have tried and approve of it. It does not irritate the skin. The list of ingredients can also be seen in the picture above. The packaging comes in two sizes, a travel convenient size and another the bigger one as you can see in the lower pictures. It lasts doe a long time and is worth the price to take care of your skin.

Attached below is the photo of the cotton pad used with the product to wipe the make up off. We just firmly pressed against the skin without any rubbing. We have used a normal liquid eyeliner, eyeshadow and a non-waterproof mascara for the photos for the eyes. We also used concealer and powder for the photos for the skin.

What we love about this is it also acts as a cleanser for the skin. So while you are busy removing your make-up, there it is cleansing your skin as the same time. This particular product is perfect for your tired nights, not to mention the blurred ones due to excessive alcohol consumption as well. Just with a few swipes of this, and you can crash into bed. At least this would be a way better solution than to crash into bed without removing your face of the make-up and dirt that has piled on over the day.

Directions - Soak cotton pad, proceed to cleanse and remove make-up and dry gently.

Verdict - Worth repurchasing.

REVIEW : Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner

Price - N/A
Where to buy - Guardian in Singapore
Size - 30ml tube

We know many of you would ask what is this doing in the mask category. It really is a mask, and a good one too. Some of us have large pores that just mess with our confidence all the time day in day out. And there there are those clogged pores that get in the way of everything else. We are proud to finally find something worth sharing in helping all of you out, bioderma's sebium pore refiner.

From the colour of the packaging and name, you would know that this product comes from their oily and mixed skin range. If you have oily or combination skin, you should definitely give this a try. This product does not mainly aim to reduce your sebum, but to regulate and minimise your pores.

We first got hold of this product and previously being impressed by other Bioderma products, we bought this to try it out. What we did was, only to spread the mask on our cheeks, and T-zone down to the nose. We figured out pores were more ugly and visible at those spots. This mask will sting for a bit. But it is tolerable as it does not last for long, and you can easily find something else to distract you. The feeling of it after is just normal just like any other masks.

When taking it off, you would want to use cold water, as you come in contact with your pores again. You have to try this on a few time before you can really see the results, it took us about 2 to 3 weeks before we saw some results from it. It is advisable to refrain from using any other pore minimising products at the same time of use or the results will vary.

The results we saw was, the pore size got smaller. They were less visible to the naked eye from 10 centimetres away. We told you we were sensitive about it. We could not just accept 10 centimetres actually. Anyways, other than that, what we really felt after every use was how tight the skin felt in the area that the mask was applied. It sure did seem worth all the stinging. This product definitely works but it will not help your pores immediately. You too have to practise a clean lifestyle and avoid locations with polluted air and environment as much as you can.

Directions - Apply once or twice a day, on its own or before applying any other creams, either on the T-zone for combination skin, or all over the face for oily skin. It can also be used as a base to facilitate an even application of make-up.

Verdict - Worked well for the skin.
