This product has been around for some while and so have we been using it. We actually love this product but only decided to review it now in the new year. This would be one of Kosé's best selling products, and we are glad they're kept this around after all the years, well of course. It is a liquid mask, black in colour that dries off after awhile and hardens. It is a peeling type mask. We thought this product worked pretty well and does clear the skin even with one use, whiteheads can be seen on the residue even if it is the first time use. Skin appeared a lot cleaner and clearer after use. The ingredients can be found in the photo below.
You would really want to avoid the product from touching your hair or you should be prepared to lose some or spend extra time cleaning your hair afterwards but it will not get too messy we assure you. You may apply some of the product on the back of one hand first, but be sure to be fast before it gets stickier then it will be harder to spread it out. But no worries it will not dry off or harden that fast as well. Apply a even layer and you will realise that from your first try of the product, if you apply a layer too thin, it does get harder to peel the mask off. It will break off and especially where you get some hair in with the mask. So it will be better to apply a thicker layer but not too thick of course that you are wasting the mask and also it will prolong the time for it too dry or you will have problems peeling the mask off and washing cleaning your face while it is still semi dry. Make sure the layer is even so you can peel the mask all off at once.
There is slight tingling especially if you get it too close to your eyes, so it is better to keep the product spread away from your eyes and hair as recommended. Also when you peel, some of your you have a lower pain tolerance might feel it hurt more, but beauty is pain girls. While yes this may feel like a pore pack or mask just when you're peeling the mask from especially the nose area, it does not clear your pores as efficiently as that. You should remember this is a whitening mask, if you're looking for something that clears your pores, stick to the mainly pore packs, they work the best.
Also another tip while peeling the mask off, apply pressure on your skin where it is free of mask when you peel. Some of you may think this is only natural but seriously there is some of us who just peel carelessly not minding the damage we are causing to the skin by pulling and stretching while we peel the mask off. What we wished was, for it to come in a bigger tube, because probably we like to apply on a thick layer every time since it eases the peeling part, but just a bigger tube please. Also a pump or some other packaging because, as you all should note, it can get a bit messy especially if your leave the opening at the bottom for too long. And no worries if you have some product leftover on your skin, just gently rinse or rub on the area and it should easily come off.
Direction - Apply an even layer over skin. Leave in for 20 minutes or until dry. Gently peel off mask.
Verdict - Worked well, will definitely get another tube.
