We first came across this product when we got some free as we would not have bought it ourselves because none of us seem to be at the age where we needed some help on firming our skin. But we were wrong, after some research, the reason why we must take care of our skin since our younger days because it affects how our skin age and affects our skin as we get older. And to think about it it is better to take steps to maintain the firmness of our skin while we are still in our twenties than worry and try to correct our already untight skin as we get older. Prevention is better than cure. Also did you know we cause stress to our skin daily? With exposure to the sun, pollution and everytime we rub or tug on our skin it actually affects it in the long term. So if especially for girls who put on a lot of makeup everyday, this might really affect you even when you remove your makeup. So it is advisable to be more gentle to your skin, no excuses even if you are in a hurry or too tired.

So when we first saw this, we seriously thought it has gone bad or something somewhat along those lines. It looked like rotten milk, like hardened rotten milk. We will attach a photo below so you could see. Its texture is like jelly and each time you scoop some up it smoothly covers up the dent so it is as good as new the next moment. It feels kind of cool in a way. So back to the product, it smells okay, kind of strong but it does not smell bad or anything but it smells scented definitely. Also when you take a scoop if it out, which as all Laneige tubbed products come with a spatula, it feels weird to put on something like jelly on your skin but no worries as once you rub it in it turns into just normal moisturiser texture and will not fall off of your skin.

We have been using this for about a month now, and although at this age we probably will not be able to see much difference or feel the effects but surprisingly we felt our skin being tighter than it usually is. And also in a healthy way like it does not look stretched or anything but just healthier and tighter. We are so far satisfied with the results and cannot wait for the months ahead to come. Also the texture might be too thick so as recommended this is for night time use right before bedtime.

Directions - Use after cleanser, toner and moisturiser. Leave in over night. Rinse of the next morning.

Verdict - So far happy with the product.

REVIEW : Laneige Pore Minimizing Pack

This product comes in Laneige's mask range and it is formulated to prevent blackheads. It is said to tighten pores as well. It is suitable for all skin types and may be used on sensitive skin as well. It contains certain ingredients that purifies the skin, absorbs excess sebum and eliminates skin dead cells, and also some that removes toxins and impurities that are around your pores and strengthens your defense system against pore-related problems.

It is a pretty smooth mask, and when it dries it kind of dries off. But no worries it can be washed off easily when you add a little water and rub it in. It feels somewhat like clay. It does sting a bit especially when you leave it for a longer amount of time. It does not effect sensitive skin and you may be able to use this if you have so. As recommended by the sales assistant at the counter, leave this product on for 3 minutes for normal skin and 5 minutes for acne prone skin.

But we recommend if you have not so much of a skin problem, you may just pass this product on. You will not be needing it. Even after months of using it about 2 times per week, results were minimal or probably we did not need it as the sales assistant recommended it more for acne prone skin. And during our test for the review we only tried it on less irritated skin and also blemished sensitive skin.

Directions - Apply toner and then apply a nickel size amount over skin avoiding the eye area. Cover face with an opaque layer. After 3 or 5 minutes, rinse off with water and apply toner. Recommended use is 1 to 2 times per week.

Verdict - Not much results.

REVIEW : Laneige Power Essential Skin Refiner

What is Laneige's Skin Refiner? In other words, its a name for their toners. This toner we chose, is for sensitive skin types. It promotes healthy skin with detoxifying and anti-stress effect agents. What we like about this product is it is also fragrance-free, alcohol-free and color-free. It does not irritate the skin so you can take our word for it if you have sensitive skin. We've tried it and used it for quite some time now and all has been well.

This toner has really helped with wonders with the skin. We tried this for use together with Laneige's Clear-C Effector and to our surprise it worked pretty well than other toners coupled up with the Clear-C Effector. As in you could generally see improvements faster. The skin looks more radiant and clear, looking clean and less oily.Skin is also surprising looking more refined, we thought it was just a name for the product. So we are currently hooked on this product as well.

We would recommend use of this product with Laneige's full line. It is to a certain degree true that products in the same line of a certain beauty brand compliments one another and for optimal results should be used together. We would suggest at least use this toner together with a cleanser and moisturiser from Laneige as well. Then only you will see better results on how it affects and better your skin rather than mixing around your products.

Direction - Dab on cotton pad and dab on skin. Use after cleansing, and before applying moisturiser.

Verdict - Would repurchase. Great use with Laneige's Clear-C Effector.

REVIEW : Laneige Multi Cleanser

Laneige has got to be one of our favourite products as of lately, and this is one of the first two products that we started using from the beauty brand. And which we are still using and keen on recommending until this date. It has micro beads in it therefore its texture is not as smooth however it is not as rough as a scrub too. It works on exfoliating the skin as well. It is also known to remove base make up as well as color make up which we will show you the results later below. It is also suitable for all skin types.

How about when you get off late from work, or just spent a whole night partying it up till late the night before, you would not want to wake up to grumpy skin from all the clogging of your foundation from the night before would you? You should at least quickly wash your makeup off before you crash for the night. Seriously Laneige has thought that ahead for you with this. It has served us many tired nights, and served us the next morning well too. As you can see below, we've used the makeup items as below and used the multi cleanser to wash them off. According to order of the items; mascara, eyebrow mascara, pencil eyeliner, liquid eyeliner, eyebrow color, eyeshadow, concealer, lipstick.

As you can see, it cleans the skin pretty well. It leaves your skin feeling clean and refresh as well because of its exfoliating factor. It is also not as harsh as other scrubs therefore it is okay and advisable for everyday use, day and night as well. Therefore we really like this product because other than a makeup remover, it is a good cleanser as well. It purifies your skin leaving it brighter.

What we really hope is they would include this in more of their travel sets. Which we have noticed as of lately they have came up with a smaller packaging for in in Malaysia which you can get from their packaged sets. Before this, travelling would mean cleansing of face would only be done after touchdown after retrieving luggages or unless we repack in a smaller bottle. Do look out for this item and pick it up when your cleanser runs out, you won't regret it.

Directions - Wet face. Squeeze a small amount and massage onto face/skin and gently melt make up. Wash thoroughly and dab dry with towel.

Verdict - Good cleanser, good go-to for tired nights.

REVIEW : Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Peel

We actually picked this up at the store just because its price would get us just enough on top of our other purchases to redeem a special store voucher. After we tried it out, we are hooked and cannot seem to find anything else to replace it.

The peel has a yogurt smell, of course as the name suggests. It smells like strawberry yoghurt to be exact. It is pink and if you look closely its actually beaded a little, so its not so much of a smooth texture, as below.

What we like about this product first was actually the smell of it. It has a calming effect and it just smells like you having a major pampering session. Second, we like scrubbing our skin. Some of you might be on the same page, such as it gives you this feeling that you are scrubbing all the dirt and oil off your face. But of course, as a matter for your face, you would not one a scrub too harsh, and this product, you are supposed to massage it in not scrub, and it makes you feel just so clean and refreshed.

Then it came to rinsing it off, our favourite part. Where we get to see the results. Little bumps and blemishes on the skin would naturally be calmed down after a wash but what surprised us was it stayed down and low. As the third time using it came by, we were trying to see if the beads could help remove blackheads, or help clean the pores. And it did ! Yes some of you would rather use a pore strip. But this is like a 2 in 1 ! Mask and pore cleaner. We are really impressed and after just the first week, have became one of our favourite product from Laneige.

The price is pretty much in the beauty product range, and with a brand such as Laneige it is pretty reasonable. You might not believe our review, but seriously, try it for yourself. We are really just in awe by the brains of the people behind this product ! And we admit to using it 3 times per week, we simply could not resist.

Direction - Use on wet skin after cleansing. Gently apply onto face and massage gently in circular motions with fingertips. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water. *Use 1 to 2 times a week. For best results, follow with Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Repair Pack.

Verdict - Should definitely try this product. Recommended !

REVIEW : Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX

This would be an interesting one to review. This particular product has been the subject of many reviews, most of them ending with positive remarks. However we are a bit on the fence on this one. We first tried this about more than a year ago but gave it up as it barely showed any results.

We were convince by other customers that this jar is IT. However we were only left disappointed again and again, but only from one point of it. The water sleeping pack, works as to lock your moisture and treat the skin while we sleep. Overnight, it aims to regenerate the skin, protect loss of moisture, purify the skin and also to improve skin texture.

The texture is like gel, such as the photo above. The scent which is created to relax your body and promote good sleep somehow works well or either that we have been too tired. But we have tried many times and the effect so far still works well. Our problem would come the next morning, which was we did not see much difference to the skin. Yes it is moisturised but what we would really expect would more of brightened clear skin. This is because throughout our experiences of using Laneige's moisturising products line we are convinced they are on of the tops in the industry so we do not doubt it being so moisturising.

But to give it to them, because of the extra moist lock system, overnight, we woke up to soft bouncy skin. After washing it off with cool water the next morning, you will realise a very clear skin look. This we are not sure, but it is probably what they meant by the sleeping skin purifying the skin overnight. However we do not see brightened skin. We are satisfied with it at the end we guess, but really hope it would really work on brightening the skin.

Also note that a big mistake many of users always make, was to use it right after toner. The thing is to use is after emulsion, or your moisturiser. It is recommended by Laneige to use it after cleanser, skin refiner, and emulsion. Especially if you are looking for optimal results.

Direction - Use after cleanser and toner and emulsion. Apply evenly onto face. Leave on overnight and rinse off well the next morning. Use one to two times a week.

Verdict - Really expected something better. Would heavily consider repurchase.

REVIEW : LANEIGE Water Bank Gel Cream

LANEIGE's water bank gel cream is made for combination to normal skin. Moisturisers in the market these days tend dry out easily, or are just mediocre in keeping the moisture of your skin and most barely absorbs into your skin. However, you will be amazed by this little jar of surprise. We were taken aback by its ability to do whatever it says it does. To lock up moisture on the skin.

When we first tried it on, the cream felt light and pretty non existent on the skin even in an instant. But we knew we had to be out on our daily routine to test it out. After about 6 to 7 hours, when our skin would be feeling dirty and oily. Our skin felt still fresh and bouncy, like as if we had never gone out of the house. It locks up moisture so well your skin wont dry out over time. This would be perfect for winter, one of our reviewers used to had skin peeling on her cheeks even everyday at work due to the air conditioning and her dry skin condition. But her skin has improved so much after trying this out. Redness from the peeling is calmed down as well.

The gel cream mainly gives the skin a more dewy look and keeps oily skin away. If the density is not enough for you or it feels still too liquid, you could try the "Water Bank Moisture Cream". We felt that worked out the same way, but it has a thicker consistency, more of a cream. 

The product comes in a 50ml jar and with a spatula as pictured above. We highly recommend you to use the spatula as dipping your finger into the jar every time is not as hygienic. This will last you a good 2 to 3 months even with everyday use. However its a setback that it does not come in smaller sizes and for travel it is not as convenient. *Useful tip, to use your contact lens to keep your moisturiser for travel*

Directions : After using your cleanser and toner, scoop the cream w/ a spatula. Dot your face with it and then gently spread. Plus point* : A good toner will help to absorb the moisturiser into your skin better. 

This review is made after 5 months of everyday usage. We fell for the product's water bank line as it was perfect for our tropical weather. Its non sticky and absorbs so well into your skin, we recommend it so much for summer !

Verdict - Locks moisture perfectly. Will definitely get a second jar.
