REVIEW : Darlie Expert White Toothpaste

Just so you know, if you have not realised we have been trying out a bunch of toothpastes and we will be reviewing all of them for you guys.  Growing up, most of us used only Colgate. Even using the term "Colgate" to substitute "toothpaste". It was hard to accept any other and especially Darlie which once we tried it in gel form. Some of us really did not like that and it smelled funny. You will also be surprised probably when we say now that we really appreciate the packaging. It has a big flat top which means it can stand on its own. We think it is much more convenient that way. The ingredients can be found in the photo below.

We are glad to say this particular one, has changed our minds. It smelled more normal to us. But something that we agreed upon was how fresh it feels after every brush. It is refreshing enough yet not so minty, which some of us here really dislike. We cannot seem to place a finger on what it is but it just feels really clean. We first saw the effects at earliest, the second to third week. But the whitening will not be the obvious kind especially to anyone else but yourself. You might even look past through it. We have so far tried this out for about a month now and are pretty satisfied with the results.

It is sad to say that our journey of discovery for whiter teeth has not come to an end yet but this one has been the best out of the previous ones. So for now, we can only recommend this one but the results have been a little slow on our side. So does it whiten your teeth? It does surely but slowly. Verdict - This will have to do. It works but is a little slow.

REVIEW : Dr.Wu VC Skincare Microinject Whitening Mask

Where exactly we heard about this brand, it was going about in taiwanese beauty forums and we decided to try it. The reason also we started with only the mask from the whitening range was because we had only sensitive skin to try on, especially towards whitening products, instead of buying whole bottles of products, we decided to just try on the mask first. So, if you have tried any of Dr.Wu's line, you may want to recommend or share with us your experience with us. Or if it worked on your skin or any point a bout it. So, firstly, we are not sure how much this cost, but we got it in a box of 3. This was bought in Singapore in Watsons, and Guardian should have this line as well.

Firstly, it smells decent, it didn't have a strong scent. This mask also fits so well, it feels like it is fully utilised on the skin. Even when you are done with the mask, you could see as if there is already a layer of white on it. We would recommend you to use this at night before bed time. And also make sure you have enough sleep and rest to let the magic work. We have used this mask a few times and truthfully, we are hooked. No regrets buying this. Other than maybe the price? But you get what we mean.

Also, by the time 20 minutes was over, you head to the bathroom, and we hope you will realise what we are going to say next. It just feels like all the product on the layer of mask has absorbed into your skin so well that the mask is dry. We are not sure that if each time we did this mask we were in an air conditioned area that is why it is so or otherwise but it sure gets dry everytime. And what we didnt like about most masks was that when you leave them on your face feels like it has a thick layer of moisturiser on or some when you wake up the next morning your face feels a little oily. Which the latter is actually usual even with normal moisturiser. However, this mask leaves your skin dry, as in not dry chapping dry but not oily. And the best part is that it is moisturised ! We really like this one.

Later on below in directions, you will read about how this mask comes in 3 layers. At most usually masks, they come in two, the mask layer itself and a plastic sheet, but this comes with an additional blue layer. This is probably to help with the fitting. as seen below you can se the blue layer. And boy, it does fit like a glove, when you remove the blue layer, literally. This was one of the reasons we really liked this mask, because some masks they seem to be too big that certain parts of the mask don't seem to be touching your skin so you'd this product will not be absorbed as much on that one spot. But this mask really fitted very well.

Direction - Cleanse face and apply toner. Remove mask from packaging, separate plastic sheet. Place and fit onto face, remove blue layer. Remove mask and massage excess onto skin.

Verdict - Will get a second pack. Visible results.

REVIEW : KOSÉ Clear Whitening Mask

This product has been around for some while and so have we been using it. We actually love this product but only decided to review it now in the new year. This would be one of Kosé's best selling products, and we are glad they're kept this around after all the years, well of course. It is a liquid mask, black in colour that dries off after awhile and hardens. It is a peeling type mask. We thought this product worked pretty well and does clear the skin even with one use,  whiteheads can be seen on the residue even if it is the first time use. Skin appeared a lot cleaner and clearer after use. The ingredients can be found in the photo below.

You would really want to avoid the product from touching your hair or you should be prepared to lose some or spend extra time cleaning your hair afterwards but it will not get too messy we assure you. You may apply some of the product on the back of one hand first, but be sure to be fast before it gets stickier then it will be harder to spread it out. But no worries it will not dry off or harden that fast as well. Apply a even layer and you will realise that from your first try of the product, if you apply a layer too thin, it does get harder to peel the mask off. It will break off and especially where you get some hair in with the mask. So it will be better to apply a thicker layer but not too thick of course that you are wasting the mask and also it will prolong the time for it too dry or you will have problems peeling the mask off and washing cleaning your face while it is still semi dry. Make sure the layer is even so you can peel the mask all off at once.

There is slight tingling especially if you get it too close to your eyes, so it is better to keep the product spread away from your eyes and hair as recommended. Also when you peel, some of your you have a lower pain tolerance might feel it hurt more, but beauty is pain girls. While yes this may feel like a pore pack or mask just when you're peeling the mask from especially the nose area, it does not clear your pores as efficiently as that. You should remember this is a whitening mask, if you're looking for something that clears your pores, stick to the mainly pore packs, they work the best.

Also another tip while peeling the mask off, apply pressure on your skin where it is free of mask when you peel. Some of you may think this is only natural but seriously there is some of us who just peel carelessly not minding the damage we are causing to the skin by pulling and stretching while we peel the mask off. What we wished was, for it to come in a bigger tube, because probably we like to apply on a thick layer every time since it eases the peeling part, but just a bigger tube please. Also a pump or some other packaging because, as you all should note, it can get a bit messy especially if your leave the opening at the bottom for too long. And no worries if you have some product leftover on your skin, just gently rinse or rub on the area and it should easily come off.

Direction - Apply an even layer over skin. Leave in for 20 minutes or until dry. Gently peel off mask.

Verdict - Worked well, will definitely get another tube.

Review : LAKME Deep Care Drops

Lakme Cosmetics S.L is a company from Spain and they generally have been around for some time and have pretty good products. This particular product is a winner. It is a repairing lotion for dry and damaged hair. It just smoothens effortlessly and you can feel the difference especially when you occasionally just run your fingers through your hair. It is a leave in lotion and you can just go about your day after application.

Now, this is something we stumbled upon again and realised we have not shared this with you. It has been in the market for quite some time, years now, and we started using this product since even its last packaging. And we cannot believe we overlooked sharing this with you guys. All of you should get one of these. It is really a miracle. We stopped using this for about one year or so, and when we found it in our local stare again, we had to get one. If we are not wrong, this product has won multiple awards over the years already.

Not to make you think we are basically writing up something that might not be a miracle to your hair. We have to state that everyone is different and the results may differ of course but we have all tried it at MachérDaily and even the awards speak for themselves. Maybe look through the web for more reviews on this if you are still sceptical.

Firstly, this product is oil based but when you spread it on your hair i guess it absorbs pretty well, so you do not have to worry about putting it on during the day. Your hands might get oily but you could wash them off easily after application though. And also for this review this time around, we applied a generous amount only nightly as just in case we do not want to have our hair looking oily throughout the day. We also only apply mostly to the ends of the hair where it gets really broken, split and dry.

Directions - Apply a few drops to dry hair and leave in.

Verdict - Will definitely repurchase until the day its production stops.

REVIEW : Whitening Lightning Dial A Smile Professional Teeth Whitening Kit

Well, we got across this product after reading a few reviews especially in the US and decided to try it out. We even checked out some of the youtube videos on it. We are not sure how effective this really was to them but here's our experience on it. Also you might want to check out some of the US beauty bloggers especially because they have discount codes that enables you to get this at just half the price at checkout. Also on this particular website that we bought this product, they shipped internationally and the parcel arrived in about 2 weeks tops.

Firstly, we were really amazed by the results of so many reviewers. But honestly, we were left disappointed. We are not sure a the lighting was a problem or our eyesight but we failed to notice much of a difference. Our colour probably went up a 0.5 on the dial. We tried this a few times but still failed to get the amazing results as claimed by the other bloggers. Anyways if you guys decide to try this out, feel free to leave comments. And also, below is a photo of the items you will need, that is already in the box.

You got vitamin E swabs that release when you break it off at the marked end, which we find really cool. Wipes for your teeth to dry them. Syringe, small brush, a dial, and the LED light (which we find it quite cool as well). When you try this out our problem all the times that we tried it was we just can contain our saliva, in other words we cannot stop drooling. Which leads to the question "Won't the saliva coat or wash away the gel and affect the results?" We are still not sure about that but have in hand something to do to take your mind of that, we had television shows and movies in hand while doing this. We know it is just 20 minutes, but it can get pretty nerve-racking with whatever that your mouth needs to hold.

Direction - Start with the teeth wipe, wipe down your teeth and gums with the blue side of the wipe. Proceed to break off the marked end of the Vitamin E cotton swab. Coat your teeth and gums with the cotton swab. Eject the gel onto the small container. Dip brush and coat teeth with the gel. Turn on LED light and place in mouth for 20 minutes.

Verdict - Probably did not work at all. And it is pretty expensive.

REVIEW : Pearl Drops Everyday Extra Whitening Smokers Toothpaste

As you can see above we have tried this one out and we only got ourselves a tube and stopped there. Pardon the photo because we forgot to take a picture before we tried it but this shows our reviews are based on real experiences right? So, about this toothpaste, it just seems like any other toothpaste but why we purchased it was cause probably Pearl Drops specialise in teeth whitening so we thought we should give this a try.

None of us here have extremely stained yellow teeth but I guess when we read the words "Smokers Toothpaste" on the packaging, we were bought there and then. Because this would mean on just a little stained teeth it would probably work even better at whitening it no? But it did not really worked to our favour. It smells just normal and is white in colour. Also when we read that it helps to whiten teeth without the use of harsh abrasives, bleaches or acidic pH, we were even happier.

It is not the gel type of toothpaste that some people dislike or like. Sorry again we did not take any photos of that beforehand as well. Also somehow after using this toothpaste, although it feels fresh, it somehow feels some freshness is still missing, like it is not 100% clean. but this is just personal opinion. You may try it for yourselves.

What we also realised was compared to other brands of toothpaste such as Darlie or Colgate, this one sticks easily especially on the sides of the basin. We are not sure what that means but for us it is a bigger mess and it gets too sticky or surfaces. Probably this means it sticks better to your teeth or so? Anyhow we are not going to really recommend this product if you are a smoker or have yellow teeth. Because by the time the tube was done in about a month or so, our teeth seemed to be still in the same shade of off-white yellow.

Verdict - Will not repurchase. Did not work, did not whiten teeth.

REVIEW : Laneige Pore Minimizing Pack

This product comes in Laneige's mask range and it is formulated to prevent blackheads. It is said to tighten pores as well. It is suitable for all skin types and may be used on sensitive skin as well. It contains certain ingredients that purifies the skin, absorbs excess sebum and eliminates skin dead cells, and also some that removes toxins and impurities that are around your pores and strengthens your defense system against pore-related problems.

It is a pretty smooth mask, and when it dries it kind of dries off. But no worries it can be washed off easily when you add a little water and rub it in. It feels somewhat like clay. It does sting a bit especially when you leave it for a longer amount of time. It does not effect sensitive skin and you may be able to use this if you have so. As recommended by the sales assistant at the counter, leave this product on for 3 minutes for normal skin and 5 minutes for acne prone skin.

But we recommend if you have not so much of a skin problem, you may just pass this product on. You will not be needing it. Even after months of using it about 2 times per week, results were minimal or probably we did not need it as the sales assistant recommended it more for acne prone skin. And during our test for the review we only tried it on less irritated skin and also blemished sensitive skin.

Directions - Apply toner and then apply a nickel size amount over skin avoiding the eye area. Cover face with an opaque layer. After 3 or 5 minutes, rinse off with water and apply toner. Recommended use is 1 to 2 times per week.

Verdict - Not much results.
